Introduction

This chapter explores the creation and politics of research journals, including the journal 'Transport and Land Use', as well as the Professor's new book. They discuss open access publishing, the availability and accessibility of journal articles in the past, and mention SIHUB, a Russian site that provides access to almost every journal article ever written.
