Harold jones was a sheet metal worker, caretaker and night watchman. He died of bone cancer in 19 71, aged 64. Shortly before his death he asked muriel to insure his real name appeared on his death certificate following his release in 19 forty one. His crimes bore striking similarities to those of jack the ripper who stalked and murdered sex workers throughout london nearly a century earlier. Despite an extensive and thorough investigation by scotland yard, the killer was never apprehended.
