What Happened to Hispanics in the United States?
There were large scale deportations of mexicans who didn't have papers. Even they did have papers, but didn't find them in time to stop being deported. But we'd had people like lefty gomez, a famous pitcher of mid century, who had his spanic names ore and no one said, we can't be in the big leagues because you're not white. As long as you didn't look like you were black. If youere somewhat of afro hispanic ancestry and look black, they would send you off to the negro leagues.
