The non dominant leg, i tibialis anterior, had about 11 % more muscle fibres than the dominant side did. One would assume that if hyper plasia were to occur, it would probably occur to a greater degree from resistance training than just like walking. A third implication of this, of this line of research, is we could now work out the theoretical upper limit of muscl fibre cross sectional area.
