The Intersection Between Free Speech and Censorship
There are nuances to that because of the hecklers veto, which makes the attempt to drown somebody out a form of censorship. But if you take the hecklers vetoed idea from the Stanford incident and then move back into the social media realm, one argument made by some scholars is that when you have vast amounts of false information being artificially created and amplified it's called censorship by noise. Even Trump's social media company does content moderation and pulls stuff down and restricts it. So no, overall I definitely agree with you that that is a significant problem and we need to figure out ways to do deal with it.
