The Importance of Accents in Language Learning
In American English you'll hear a lot of an um, and then in like UK English, you'll see em. In European French, you'll hear puh, puh, hmm, this guy, huh, huh. You do really want somebody who's just looking at you and talking about what's happening inside of your vocal tract. And that's part of the reason why working like you did one on one with a coach is just the most efficient way.
