Sparticus Is More Hellenic Than Thracian

Plutarch describes spartacus as more hellenic than thracian. This may be an attempt to explain his sagacity and ability to form a strategy, wield an army that can then defeat rome. But it also builds him up as a formidable opponent to the roman army. And giveen the outcome where it did take years to defeat him, then it makes sense that he actually has his powers to create an army that's hard to defeat.
