How to Reduce the Cost of Coordination
If you have two teams, and team A does something, like they write a piece of code, this influences team B. But once they do that, this will influence again, team A. That's a reciprocal dependency. And it turns out from academics that these are the most costly to coordinate. So in our language, if they are in different teams, it's worse. The best thing to do is to contain them within the same formal unit. Then there are also sequential dependencies, which aredependencies that can easily manage with traditional project management techniques. These are less costly. Those are at the task level.
