Building a Logographic Writing System
The language has a long history. So I think if you're going to go with a logographic writing system, don't be in a rush. Some of these characters are 3,000 years old and the phonetics don't make any sense anymore. We don't have to. It's always approximate in the first place anyway. But it drifts away over time.
