The scam was, and this is how it worked. The FBI got an anonymous tip claiming that all of these previous winners were related to each other by marriage or by second cousin, third cousin,. And they were all tied by a shady character known as Uncle Jerry. All in all, when the FBI finally like was ready to strike, there was something like 22 different, oh no, I'm sorry, 53 indictments, of which 48 pled guilty.
