Hitler and Chamberlain in a Conference Room
In Munich, amid all the uniforms, Chamberlain and Deladia seem out of place. The men and their entourage is mill around a buffet table. Translators and adjutants wander in and out. At 12.45pm they're ushered into a conference room. It's Mussolini, in his self-appointed role as master of ceremonies who takes control. Hitler meanwhile, just grimaces. He speaks slow English, some French, a smidgen of German,. And not a great deal of sense in any of them.
