Why Donors Don't Give After an Election
If you donate to a campaign in the middle of an election, everyone knows what you're trying to do. But if the election is over, what are you trying to do? And seeing as the obvious reason is your trying to pay back the candidate's loans to coury favor with the candidate, there's no other plausible explanation. If it's like, oh, my home ted cruz is out 200 grand,. Im going to give him a few grand to put ent in that, that's not like expression. That's not first amendment speech.
