The Importance of Being Trustworthy
Being trustworthy as a scientist or research is about telling people the answers that you don't have. My mum never tried to pretend she knew things when she didn't. Maybe researchers and scientists, that includes data journalists and dentists, could learn a lesson from that. To say what you don't know doesn't necessarily diminish you in the eyes of others. It just makes you more trustworthy.
