The CBFC's Power to Screen a Film
As per the letter of the law statutorily the CBFC is the final authority on certification and on what can be screened or not screened but in effect practically it is still not free from government pressure. State governments try occasionally to ban a film and then it goes to a high court and the high courts as you know no we have a procedure in place for this the CBFC has cleared it. This film has statutory backing you cannot ban it. That is fairly settled however if the union government gets really insistent about a film that has been certified which does not seem very likely because of how aligned the CBFC's decisions usually are to the union government interests.
