What Is the Point of the Book?

Eric Liu: This book articulates a desire for an alternative that carries the best features of liberalism forward while checking all the bullshit and creating something. He says he prefers to associate with democratic socialism, which has more gas in it than communist label. Liu: From what I've noticed, the talks in this book are kind of optimistic, maybe more optimistic than they would have been post Trump and post Brexit.
