Malnourished but Not Inflamed?

In 1972 there was a study done of Senegalese children who were very malnourished. Their pre albumin levels and their albumin levels went up over those three weeks as they fed them and treated them now what I would contend is that those children in Senegal weren't only being treated for malnutrition but had other illnesses going on. The key is actually to look at a patient population that is malnourish but isn't inflamed so if you go to your psychiatry floor where your patients with anorexia are it will take you very long to decide that those patients are malnourishes right?
