Platform Engineering: The Future of Engineering
I'm explaining here is my view of what platform engineering should be, not necessarily what it will be. Let me make it clear that this is my opinion. Similar to SRE, like the number of people the SRE title is not, they're not doing SRE response. I don't care how big the organization is, if it was bought through an acquisition, or if it was set up for a particular use, they're never going to be the same. And that's my beef with the notion of A, the word platform and B, the word engineering.
