Samuel Taylor Coleridge was an English romantic poet, critic and philosopher. His work is called the Biographia Litteraria; it's a literary biography. In this passage he talks about Plotinus and the Enyads. He makes almost exactly that distinction between propositional intelligence and intuitive knowledge.
