The Passions and Desires of the Spirit

Paul wrote in Colossians that those who belong to christ jesus have crucified sno only one whos died with him. Acay: What he is saying is that the self that we are to crucify, that died with sus on the cross when we became an apprentice to him, is the flesh with its passions and desires. And these two aspects of desire of our heart are at war. One recent writer called it a war of loves. It is a war between our disordered desires of the flesh and our deeper desires of the spirit,. In us, to love god, be loved by god, and become a medium for that love to others.
