The Double Edged Approach to the New Deal
The New Deal was a response to an acute crisis that was then over the several decades afterwards clawed back by the ruling class. And today when people say make America great again, ironically what they really mean deep down is they want to go back to that time of prosperity specifically. Because they don't have a critique of capital because they're on the right and that's definitely true,. They want to re resurrect the racism and sexism and homophobia of the 50s and early 60s.
