Is There a Goal of Nature?
Spinoza thinks that nature, and he uses nature in God interchangeably, is like completely different from human stuff. And the idea that the universe has any goal is like a misunderstanding by applying human convention to nature, which it doesn't have. Spinoza really has this extremely anti-teological position,. You know, there's kind of variation in selection, something like that.
