The Role of Pakistan in the Golan Crisis
In the Golan crisis in 2020, Pakistan seemed to go out of its way to make it clear that it was not doing anything on the border. And then six months later, it returned to a ceasefire agreement with India that has held surprisingly the last two years. It's unclear to me if China didn't want Pakistan to stir anything up to escalate tensions. If Pakistan itself was really risk-averse during that period, especially when it was facing a lot of pressure from the United States and the international community economically, financially, and in terms of what it was doing in Afghanistan.
