SEC Chairman Gensler Says Cryptocurrencies Are Not Securities
Gensler: The fundamental problem is that the crypto industry has intentionally chosen not to comply with those securities laws. He insisted there are virtually always business interests associated with each token effort, checking what of the boxes for what his agency is weighing in its securities tests. Gensler said he just reinforced his statement that Bitcoin is not a security.
