The Incentive to Play Ball With the Global Financial System

The system has more or less incentivized peace. If you are a small fledgling nation, if you're a second world power, you have an incentive to play ball with the global system. A great example is that is look at the nations when they came out of the fall of the Soviet Union. The nations that kind of got on board to the US dollar backed system have come out of communism and flourished.
