What's the Difference Between Empathy and Sympathy?
I used to think i was an empathetic boy, i becoming apparent changes your viewpoint on that. What's the difference between empathy and sympathy? This is a very complicated topic. It's easy to feel sympathetic to others because we are social beings,. And when you see someone feeling a particular way, it kind of resonates with you. But you don't actually feel it within yourself, and you're not invested in it. Ampathy refers to the ability to imagine how that person is feeling in that situation. So when you look at someone crying on the street, you try to reconstruct why the person is crying, try to get that emotional connection. Helps with listening.
