The Ninth Circuit has been extremely deferential to state and local regulations of gun laws. This was an opinion that was just all soaring rhetoric and almost no law at all. It read like an own the libs sort of opinion, if that makes sense. If you're a frustrated judge and frustrated judges are not unusual in American history, they're not unusual now.
