The Difference in Design Between the Monitor and the Merrimac

Iron clads were the closest thing to tanks. In fact, tanks were initially kind of designed to be like iron ships. The difference in design between the two is what made me think of the whale and the squid. There have been at least two movies about that battle that i know of. But there's another one from 19 36, something about the title i kind of like, called hearts in bondage.
