Most endurance age groupers, if they're doing an hour, hour and a half ride, are at 85%, says Stephen. Most well-trained runners will be around 70% heart rate nights in the low intensity zone. "It is absolutely part of the recipe, but it's surprising how little you need to top off the tank," he adds.
