God's Rule Is Worked Out in and Through My Good Works
In every political situation, from the most horiorifically totolitarian to the most chaotically anarchic, in all these situations, god is king. And what that means is that there are opportunities here for me to love people in his name, and expect that his spirit is working here. I definitely hold to the view, this matters to me politically, that jesus, when he ascended and sat down at the father's right hand, began to reign and rule over all things in heaven and earth. So even if i am greatly constrained my public agency by, let's say, a particular political situation, i can still be a neighbor in his name.
