Lindgren's Prisoners Dilemma Tournament

Christian Lindgren set up a computer game where strategies that one consistently could reproduce themselves. He ran this thing for I don't know maybe 60,000 tournaments or 60,000 goals and also taken in 1991,. probably three days or two weeks from the computer with Lindgren ran this thing. There'd be periods where there was clearly a best strategy and the other strategy started to disappear but you would see some of those other strategies staying in the game because they were also necessary.
