The Parallels of the Human Genome Project and the HCA
We've been committed to variation to begin with, but you simply need to get to a larger and larger number of individuals to know that you made a serious dent in that. The way we think about the atlas is more like the actual finished genome without the full genetic variation associated with disease. And unlike in the human genome project that really had to do it fully sequentially, we are seeing the forking off in parallel. I told you earlier, we did tumors before any other tissue. We could see how much you can learn about disease using these tools.
