The Importance of Perception in Inner Engineering
Human experience is happening from within us, isn't it? What we consume is another form of life. If what happens within me does not happen my way, this is the worst form of slavery. As an experiment, just try cutting down on your food intake by 50 per cent. You will see you'll need a drop in weight and energy but only if you cut out excess sleep. When inertia goes beyond a certain point, that's death for humans. So restfulness is very important - offering yourself to other people as much as possible. In terms of physical terms, what this means is inertia. Right now, I'm going to say: 'I don't want to die'
