The writer's room is a tool for you to use. John Stewart would say, the writers come up with things that inspire you to write the thing. They don't write the show. You look at them, you use your instinct and your gut and your vision. And if that means taking a nap or going on a walk or doing your country thing, another thing Conan said, he was like, your job is to be in a creative and good flow state.
