Figma Variables: The Future of Systems
The idea that you can have alias variables wasn't something you could do with styles in Figma before. The biggest thing for me that was sort of a bummer is that there's no way immediately to just take my JSON file and throw it in Figma, but this at least gets us a step closer. I actually thought it was really funny in one of the presentations at config, they did a deep dive on Figma variables. They are totally optional. It gives people a little bit more control.
