Nehemiah's Prayer - If Ye Love Me, Keep My Commandments
In his prayer, i beseech thee o, lord god of heaven, the great and terr god that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments. Notice what nehemiah knows about god. He is great. He is terrible. In other words, awe inspiring. We fear him, slash revere him. But he also keeps mercy, since we don't always keep covenant and we don'talways keep our word. There is his mercy, and it is given to those who love him and observing his commandments. Great combination there. If ye love me, keep my commandments.
