The Swans, a Poem About the Inward Migration of Australians
The swans offered an image of something incorruptible amidst the dust. While in their presence I tried to capture the beauty dancing in us still, even in the west of Tons. Its journey took the black swan over at the place where hungry, walky dingos, boxes, and dara cura juby, wild dogs, dug-out shelters away from the dust. In this case, the physical displacement and inward migration of indigenous Australians since European arrival in 1788. This inward migration can be described as being locked in a prison of the mine. Returning to the place of country held in the mine is a way of figuring out how to deal with the powerlessness
