Is There a Connection Between the Right and the Left Side of the Brain?
A neuroscientist called Michael Gazzonega carried out experiments on a split-brain epilepsy. He found that the right side of the brain, which is more intuitive, would make up an explanation for why someone was doing something. And to me, this is sort of a metaphor for a larger thing, a larger phenomenon, which is that often we are not reasoning, we are rationalizing that we do what we do,. We follow impulses without even being aware of them ourselves. And then we cloak it in the garb of reason. So here's a thought on reason and perhaps part of the tragic cause to the world itself.
