The Principle of Aristocracy
In the old aristocratic regimes, you could have single family just control an office open handedly. Yet in a feudal mode, where basically what you're talking about is is essentially a federation of local powers. You have various families tat that control those positions. Now, that's one way to do things. I don't think it wasn't really appropriate to the american context. And and so the only thing left over is, what's the legitimt notion of that hierarchy? After after alls, i mean, there's this interesting implication that, well, the only terms that the elite is used to thinking about the hierarchy in terms ofis, is a dessert.
