Bedege's influence kind of pushed Jiejek in the way of training is kind of negative scatological Hegel. But he doesn't want to abandon all the achievements of Marxist materialism and historicism. He just wants to reconfigure it in the way that he's thinking of it. And then he leans into his Lacanianism to try to explain that later.
