The Importance of a PLI in Phone Pay
PDM says that in 2022, one new sound box was purchased by a merchant every 6 seconds. The device accounts for about 8% of its overall revenues. If phone pay sound boxes are cheaper, PDM will lose out. Not to forget the sound box isn't just a gimmick. It's a customer retention tool that can be used to cross-sell other stuff to merchants.
