We have to ask, why are so many people having such a hard time simply making it through the day in this country? We need to look not just at how to pay for health care, and I certainly am for universal health care. Telling the truth itself has an ameliorative effect. The people have lost faith in what the government has to say. Same with the media. What has happened in the United States is that there's this conglomeratization of corporate media which does more to serve the corporate agenda of its owners than to serve the real purpose of journalism.
