The Mercer Family Foundation and the Cabinet of Liz Trust

Robert and Rebecca Mercer are billionaire philanthropists. Their foundation gave a grant to the Centre for Policy Studies in 2019 just months before the general elections. The director of CPS, Robert Colvile, went on to essentially co-author the Tory party manifesto that year. It goes further than that because we know that the CPS continue to engage very closely in the development and evolution of Tory ideology.
