059 - Logic and 7 Characteristics of a Mature Thinker

Apologetics 315 Podcast

CHAPTER

Don't Do Ad Hominems

A mature thinker will attack the argument and not the individual making the argument. A mature thinker can admit when they're wrong, even if it means swallowing some humble pie or admitting that you have made a clear mistake. And so i think that when somebody points out something to you, if we want to know what truth is, we shouldn't be shy about pointing it out. It's just a calling names and name callingit, and no progress is made. So basically we're talking about, don't do ad hominems. Don't attack the person. Attack the argument.
