The SEC's Approach to Regulation of Cryptocurrencies
The big question is whether it's the same regulation as you'd have for say a stock market exchange or a stock market platform where you can trade different stocks. I think there's kind of a few approaches, isn't there? One is that the current regulation we have just doesn't fit. And no matter how hard someone like Coinbase tried, they couldn't be in compliance with the law. So if you're not willing to change the law and you're basically saying you can't be a crypto exchange in the US and deal with US customers... well, this is the SEC kind of saying there shouldn't be a market.
