The Best of the Magnet of All Time

There are some more exotic examples of the use of magnets in, well perhaps not everyday life in this country. Some countries do have maglev trains. Why aren't all trains magnetically levitating? I think because it's extraordinarily expensive to run it. The strength of the magnetic field in the magnetic track on the magnetic train means that it is levitated above the tracks. That means you've got zero friction from the tracks which means that your trains can go extremely fast.
