The Sitting Practice Is Just Like an Inner Bath
Don't judge the quality of your sitting. It's worth doing no matter what it feels like, because sometimes you'll sit and your mind will be all over the place. If we're not aware, then we're just acting out all our habit patterns. When we bring awareness to them, that awareness gives us the space to make a choice. I think the Dharma practice becomes very alive in our lives when we exercise this power of choice.
