Agile and Its Roots in Scientific Management

A lot of the Agile stuff has its roots in tailorism, which is scientific management. It's this guy, Frederick Taylor, who had a steel plant. He came up with these metrics that were like how long should it take a hard-working man to do? That kind of became the origin of performance targets andscientific management.
