The Gift of Abstraction
In order to make sense of it, you have to know what it is. So there's this simple apprehension. But then a judgment has to be made about the thing - which furthers our knowledge. The three acts of the mind don't exist in the public schools. There's no discussion of them. They are all material and below the line of intellection and free will. It's really interesting that they call those the higher level thinking schools. An they ignore the three act of the mind. You can't not use your intellect, but you use them to focus on these informational reductions of a it's really materialism.
