The business of staying physically fit and not overweight actually became part of a political platform in Denmark. A Danish reform party had as a plank in its platform, a proposed law that would require citizens to hand over one hour's pay every month for each two pounds that they were overweight. The book is shot through with so much goddamn misogyny, Michael, shocking. There is a chapter in this book called let's leave women's live out of this. Nice.
