James Madison's Gift to Sally Hemmings
The Madison's came a number of times to motto cello Sally Hemmings may have come to Washington that's disputed but that's but she met her it certainly in motto cello. Dolly Madison talks her into naming the child James Madison Hemmings and says that if she does name the child JamesMadison Hemmings she'll give her a gift. The boy becomes known as Jim Mad you know as a nickname James Madison but apparently according to family traditions the gift was never forthcoming this really makes my skin crawl I don't know about you.
